Queens World Film Festival is seeking volunteers to help with set-up, break down, ushering, greeting, street teams, and outreach both before and during the festival (March 15th-25th). 177 films will be screened throughout Queens at the Museum of the Moving Image and the Zukor Theatre (near Kaufman Astoria Studios).
QWFF is a film festival that is dedicated to screening challenging films from around the world and around the corner. A thriving Youth Initiative, public screenings in alternative spaces, we build community by supporting filmmakers and film lovers.
This is a great way to see how a festival is run, interact with industry members, and gain experience within the film festival world.
We are looking for volunteers to assist during our annual film festival in March 2018. Available opportunities include the following areas:
- Box office
- Event production/management
- Marketing/Social Media/Outreach
- Administrative duties
Volunteers will also be given opportunities to watch certain screenings (based on availability) and network with filmmakers from all over the world.
Please respond to this posting with your resume, your availability before and during the festival (list specific times/dates), and what you'd like to get out of this experience.
Please also include your availability before the festival for a volunteer orientation (week day, evening and weekend availability please).
Feel free to reach out with any questions at email@example.com
