Do you love dogs? The Marion County Dog Shelter is looking for individuals with space in their home and heart to provide care for dogs awaiting a forever home!
Duties include daily dog care (feeding, watering, socialization and medical care); using positive, rewards based training as directed by shelter staff; providing transportation to and from the animal shelter/ vet appointments; helping to facilitate adoptions and more.
Qualifications:
- Live within Marion County
- Knowledge of basic dog care
- Able to provide an indoor-only environment
- Other pets in the home must be dog social
- Willingness and ability to host animals for weeks or month, possibly longer
- Some availability on weekends and/or evenings
