PRC is seeking to recruit Special Event Volunteers who would work at some (or all!) of the 12-15 events held throughout the year. Recently, Positive Resource Center has merged with the AIDS Emergency Fund and Baker Places to form PRC, a San Francisco-based nonprofit whose mission is to help people affected by HIV/AIDS, substance use, or mental health issues better realize opportunities by providing integrated legal, social, and health services that address the broad range of social risk factors that impact wellness and limit potential.
PRC hosts various fundraising events throughout the year, along with participating in events where we are selected to be a beneficiary. We heavily rely on our volunteers and appreciate their help greatly. In some cases, the amount of the proceeds is directly determined by the number of volunteer shifts filled. Certain events also give volunteers various perks, such as complimentary admission to some of the events.
Description
Assist at events hosted by or benefiting PRC in the areas of security, set up, registration/check-in, coat check, food & beverage services, silent auction or floor monitor, ushering, or tear down. In most cases, there is much work to do, but you will also be able to enjoy the event and have fun.

- Pride Brunch - June 23
- AIDS Walk - July 15

Commitment
There is no commitment to volunteer at multiple events during the year. However, it is imperative that you are able to work the events you sign up for. Proceeds towards PRC from many events are directly tied to the amount of volunteers we are able to provide, and when volunteers do not show up we lose funding.
