Luz Maria Foundation Inc. is a 501(c)(3), tax exempt organization that helps women who are victims of domestic violence and women in need by providing the tools they need to move forward in their lives during their times of struggle.
We work and sign agreements to promote, defend and disseminate DDHH (human rights) for women, children, and adolescents.
We work together with other human rights NGOs to create awareness about domestic violence in order to make a better and safer world for all.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED:
Must be age 18 or older
Must live in New York City (five boroughs)
Able to work independently
Good organizational skills helpful
Excellent interpersonal skills, including ability to lead, influence and build relationships across functions
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently or as part of a team
Proven track record of being detail-oriented, self-motivated, managing a high volume of varied work and ability to meet deadlines
Solid ability to exercise good judgement in writing and editing written communications
Demonstrated commitment to customer service and a continuous improvement attitude
Ability to drive open and clear communication that adheres to values and vision
Strong ability to be creative and enthusiastic
Experience supporting all levels of the organization of domestic violence and human rights relation
