Reports to: Associate Manager, Donor Relations
Summary: The American Diabetes Association of Washington is looking for volunteers for our "Street Team" who will help promote our 2018 Tour de Cure. Volunteers will post flyers around their communities to build awareness for the event. On day of event, we will need a combination of volunteer photographers and "reporters" who will create and capture the buzz from the event on our online channels.
Attributes needed: Flexible, ability to solve problems when faced with ambiguity, clear and concise written communicator, independent, comfortable interacting with people, and investigative nature.
Required experience: Working knowledge of social media (Facebook & Twitter.) Prior event experience is helpful, but not required.
**For photographers: prior photography experience required, and photographer must provide own equipment and surrender photos/videos post-event.
Time Commitment: Varies. A few hours monthly, leading up to the event. Available for a shift on both Friday, May 4 th (fundraising Champions dinner) and Saturday, May 5th - day of Washington Tour de Cure.
