Give back to your local community!

Come join our team at Casa de Amistad as a part of our Study Companions Program. Volunteers are paired one-on-one with students in 1st through 12th grade. You'll work each week with the same student(s) throughout the academic year on homework and enrichment activities. Your role as a mentor and tutor can make a huge difference in the life of a young person. Our students come from economically disadvantaged families in coastal North County. You can help give them the support they need to pursue educational opportunity and pave a path to success. We expect to begin the 2021-2022 school year in a hybrid model with both online and in-person tutoring, with a phased reopening to full in-person tutoring by January 2022.

Volunteers can choose from multiple session times:
Mondays 4:00 - 5:00pm, 5:00 - 6:00pm, or 6:00 - 7:00pm
Tuesdays 4:00 - 5:00pm, 5:00 - 6:00pm, or 6:00 - 7:00pm
Wednesdays 4:00 - 5:00pm, 5:00 - 6:00pm, or 6:00 - 7:00pm
Thursdays 4:00 - 5:00pm, 5:00 - 6:00pm, or 6:00 - 7:00pm
