MCRD Museum Foundation - San Diego, CA

The social media intern will provide day-to- day support for the MCRD Museum. This internship will offer a hands-on opportunity to help plan and implement a social media strategy. Applicants should have strong communication skills, photography skills, and knowledge of social media platforms.

Applicants must be able to work independently as well as collaboratively with the development team and Director of Marketing.

Responsibilities:

 Assist with developing and implementing marketing strategies

 Promote Foundation memberships and events

 Participate in outreach events

 Create marketing materials such as flyers and advertisements

 Assist with photography and videography

 Create content and schedule regular social media posts

 Research and explore new social media strategies

 Develop and execute promotion strategies

 Special event support as needed

Requirements:

· Experience and a level of comfort in all current, new, and emerging social media platforms

· Experience with Photoshop and graphic design skills preferred

The MCRD Foundation is a registered 501(c)(3) located at the Marine Corps Recruit Depot in San Diego, CA. The foundation was established in 1988, the Foundation has worked throughout the years to bettering the museum which it supports and preserving the history of the United States Marine Corps.
