Saturday, January 20th, 2018, 9 am - 11 am: Join Seminole County Natural Lands & the SERV Program in a fun event to protect our natural areas! We will be removing invasive plants from the Seminole Wekiva Trail, by the Softball Complex. This FREE event is for volunteers of all ages. Participants must wear closed-toe shoes and long pants (long sleeves also recommended). Sun protection and bug protection may be desired.
Each volunteer must have a printed, signed liability form to turn in upon arrival. See the following link for adult and minor versions of the "hold harmless" form, located near the bottom of the page: http://www.seminolecountyfl.gov/departments-services/public-works/watershed-management/serv-program/
Please contact Elizabeth Stephens (serv@seminolecountyfl.gov, 407-665-2457) with any questions. We look forward to seeing you there!

Mission Statement
The Seminole Education, Restoration, and Volunteer (SERV) Program works to actively restore the waterways and natural areas of Seminole County, and educate the public about why these resources are important.
Description
We provide opportunities for volunteers to do lake restorations, invasive species removal, litter clean-up activities, and stormdrain marking in Seminole County. We also coordinate with the Adopt-A-Road and Adopt-A-River Programs. Working with SERV is a great way to give back to the community, earn volunteer hours for school or club requirements, and have fun outside while learning about our amazing natural resources. All ages are welcome.
