The Role


The HR Engagement and Development Team at Save the Water is currently looking for a new associate! Not only will your volunteering effort contribute to the important water research, but you will also be able to advance your professional skills in the field of HR, employee relations, employee motivation and employer branding.


This is an unpaid volunteer opportunity and Associates are expected to put in a minimum of 5 hours per week and be responsive to emails within 36 hours.


What you will be responsible for...


    • Assists Associate Director, Engagement & Development in creation and execution of virtual training calendar and initiatives
    • Assists with instructional design and training development, Coordinating training schedules and when required Conducting virtual training sessions.
    • Develops strong understanding of all business groups to gain knowledge of work situations requiring training
    • Formulates training outlines and determine instructional methods, such as individual training, group instruction, video tutorials and lectures, video demonstrations, web based conferences, online meetings, workshops, etc
    • Select and/or develop teaching aids such as training handbooks, demonstration models, multimedia visual aids etc
    • Maintains trainee personnel records
    • Monitors, records, and evaluates training activities and program effectiveness
    • Ensures to keep abreast of all new techniques and ways of training/engaging in virtual work environment.
  • Attends monthly review meetings and holds complete execution accountability of the training calendar.

  • Strong planning and organizational skills, Ability to handle multiple projects and details simultaneously.
  • Self-direction, tact, diplomacy and a clear, courteous and professional manner when dealing with others.
  • Ability to develop and proof training materials.
  • Ability to suggest enhancements to existing training programs.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions provided in written, oral, or graphic form.
  • Ability to function independently in a multitasking environment, as well as part of a team
  • Ability to interact comfortably and to work cooperatively with staff at all levels of the organization.
  • Knowledge of adult learning, instructional design, and curriculum development techniques.
  • Skilled in writing reports, presentation and correspondence.
