We are looking for volunteers ages 15 and older to help assist youth between the ages of 11-21 years who have intellectual/developmental disabilities with recreational activities involving crafts, sports, cooking, youth development, computer literacy and more. Volunteers will participate in field trips to various county recreation locations (separate parent permission form will be required).

All volunteers must be at least 15 years old by June 1 of the calendar year.

Available Shifts:

  • June 18-August 31, Monday-Friday, 10 am-3 pm OR 12-5:30 pm
  • July 2-August 3, Monday-Friday, 12-5:30 pm
  • August 6-31, Monday-Friday, 10 am-3 pm OR 12-5:30 pm

Description

The Arc Montgomery County supports children, youth, adults and families by providing child care and education, work skills training, employment, community living services, resources, advocacy and respite care.

Each day, The Arc provides residential and vocational services for over 400 adults, early childhood education and child care for over 125 families, and various supports for over 90 adults living independently. In addition, we provide information and resources referrals to over 3,000 Montgomery County individuals and families each year.
