*Our Lady's Inn is seeking a volunteer to watch children on a weekly basis while the mothers are in an on-site class. Children's ages vary from 6 weeks to 12 years old. Group size varies from approximately 1 to 10 children. Volunteering with a friend is encouraged.*
Guided by our Mission, Our Lady’s Inn provides pregnant women and their children shelter and hope for a new life through humble acts of love. Our Lady’s Inn provides a loving home and an array of services supporting pregnant women and their children suffering with homelessness.
Residents of Our Lady's Inn attend on-site classes weekly such as Parenting, Job Readiness, Childbirth, and Pay It Forward. In order for all moms to attend class, we are in need of childcare on Wednesday evenings from 6:30pm - 8:00pm.
The age and amount of children needing childcare will vary based on the school year and how many families reside at Our Lady's Inn. Childcare on a typical Wednesday evening would include approximately 1-10 children ages 6 weeks to 12 years.
Volunteers with childcare experience required. Volunteers with experience serving at-risk families preferred. Volunteers will need to submit paperwork and attend Orientation prior to their first day. Childcare volunteers work directly under the Volunteer Coordinator and the Child Advocate with assistance and supervision by the Resident Support Staff.
