Unbound Visual Arts (UVA), which just celebrated its 5 th Anniversary of enriching the Boston community with educational and inspiring exhibitions and programs., is seeking unpaid Spring Interns for January - May, 2018 to work on three (3) major and exciting events: Mardi Gras & Carnival Celebration of the Arts, the Battle of the Sexes Revisited exhibition, and the City Heart Art Show and Sale for homeless artists inside the Prudential Center. Interns should have at least one specialty and an interest in other areas. These include: public relations, marketing, graphic arts, website and email design and management, event planning and administration, program design and management, grant research and writing, exhibition planning and implementation, fundraising, education and learning programs, general non-profit management, social media, blog writing, gallery research, photography, podcasts, and videos.
Being familiar with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Drive and Photoshop (or similar) is a plus as well as being willing to learn UVA's systems including WordPress and MailChimp. UVA will provide orientation and training. Approximately 8 - 10 hours a week over 2 days. Good English writing and oral skills and one's own laptop are necessary. Working remotely is possible for part of the week. Free auto and bike parking. Good MBTA access. Interns that are also artists will have the opportunity to have their art included in the exhibition.

UVA’s well-equipment headquarters is in Brighton Center, shared with two other non-profit music organizations. The headquarters also serves as a rotating exhibition of artwork from past exhibitions . February 13, 2018 - 6th annual Mardi Gras & Carnival Celebration of the Arts at the Green Briar Restaurant and Pub with live music, food, drinks, masks, silent auction, raffle, dancing, etc. This year it's also Valentine's Eve.
March 10, 2018 - The Battle of the Sexes Revisited exhibition opens at the Honan-Allston Library Art Gallery.
May 5, 2018 - 8th annual City Heart Art Show and Sale for homeless artists at the Prudential Center. It's also Cinco de Mayo Day.
