"A Noble Evening in the Garden," Noble's largest fundraising event, takes place at the Indiana State Fairgrounds (Expo Hall and West Pavilion). A preview to the Indianapolis Flower & Patio Show, the event features local restaurants, beverages, games, live entertainment including a band, other musicians, magicians, and psychics, as well as a silent auction. All are scattered throughout the beautiful gardens.

The following positions are open for Evening in the Garden: (the number in parenthesis is the number of volunteers needed)

Restaurant Set-up - carries in supplies, helps restaurants set up 3:30-7 p.m. (1)

Coat Check 6:30-9 p.m. (5)

Volunteer Escort - escorts volunteer to volunteer location 6:30-9 p.m. (3)

Champagne Server - MUST have valid server license* 6:30-9 p.m. (1)

Silent Auction Registrar - registers guests for auction 7-9 p.m. (2) -
(training on tablet provided)

Water/Soda Server 7-9 p.m. (3)

Line Director for Psychics 8:45-11 p.m. (2)

Indy Facets Game - "sells" chances to play game & win prizes 9-11 p.m. (2)

Floater - goes wherever needed 9-11 p.m. (2)

Auction Monitor - ensure auction items remain in place 9-11 p.m. (1)

Mini Golf - "sells" chances to play game & win prizes 9-11 p.m. (1)

Beer Server - MUST have valid server license* 7-9 p.m. (1) or 9-11 p.m. (2)

Wine Server - MUST have valid server license* 7-9 p.m. (1) or 9-11 p.m. (8)

Restaurant Aide - gets supplies for restaurants & bars, pick up trash 7-9 p.m. (1) or 9-11 p.m. (5)

Auction Runners - retrieve auction items for winners 10:15-:11:15 p.m. (6)



Volunteers MUST be 21 or over. Anyone serving alcohol must have a valid liquor license. (*Noble can give a link to get one; cost is less than $20 and license is good for 3 years.)

Description

Noble serves nearly 2,800 children and adults with disabilities--primarily those with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities such as autism, Down Syndrome--annually. We help improve the quality of life for those with disabilities and their families through services designed to meet each individual's unique needs.

For infants and toddlers, we offer First Steps Early Intervention Therapies, For youth, we host a variety of day camps, including traditional camps as well as specialty camps such as All About Animals, Art, Music & Dance, and other camps. Teens are served through our School-to-Work transition program. Adults are aided by our Employment Services, which includes Community Employment, Work Crews, and Noble Business Enterprises. Those who want to live independently are helped through our Community Living Service. Noble also offers Community Integration Services, featuring therapeutic art and Community Exploration. Adult Day Services are offered for those with higher needs and/or those with disabilities who also have Alzheimer's or dementia. Music, Recreational, and Behavioral Therapies are offered for both children and adults. We also help the families of those we serve by offering Respite Services, serving as The Arc of Greater Indianapolis, and offering networking opportunities and educational workshops through our Center for Family Leadership.
