We are looking to add a board member to our organization. We are looking for an active and involved board member that can offer fund raiser project leadership, creativity and life skills that they can share with our small but very vibrant group. You would work on your time from your home or work. We have mandatipory quarterly board meetings and maybe additional project organization meetings as needed. Board members typically serve a two year term.
We have built three schools in Tanzania Africa, and have seen substantial successes over the past ten years, changing the lives of hundreds of orphans. You can learn more about us at www.orphansafrica.org.
We we are looking for someone with some available volunteer time, and a heart for kids, education and helping in one of the poorest countries in the world. Because we are a small organization your participation can make a huge impact.

Orphans Africa is a non-profit organization in the United States dedicated to the education of orphans in Africa. We coordinate volunteer services, raise funds, and provide essential supplies to our international field partners in Tanzania. Our vision is a world without poverty in which all persons have the freedom and opportunities to pursue happiness and maximize their potential.
Description
Orphans Africa (OA) is a 501 (c) 3 tax-exempt charitable organization that began in 2007 with the coming together of three ordinary people whose desire was to build peace between nations by providing assistance to those who are most vulnerable. Together they traveled to Tanzania where malaria and the AIDS epidemic has left victims of all ages. Over 3.1 million children have been orphaned. Working hand-in-hand with grassroots non-governmental organizations in Tanzania, OA provides the orphans with education and basic necessities, and provides the widows with the training and opportunities they need to become self-sufficient. We believe that by educating children, we are bringing hope, not only to today, but to the future.
