The Black & White Ball 2022 is scheduled for Saturday, June 25, 2022. The hottest ticketed charity event in Long Beach will return with elegance, sophistication and entertainment to celebrate the achievements of the LGBTQ community of greater Long Beach. The event will be held at the Long Beach Convention and Entertainment Center.
All proceeds from the Black & White Ball will support the many programs and services of The Center, the largest publicly supported LGBTQ direct services organization in greater Long Beach, which supports more than 25,000 clients per year!
There a variety of volunteer opportunities both before and during the event - please find the one(s) that best suit your interest and skills. Volunteers are a HUGE part of this event and we simply couldn't do it without you!
Minimum Age: Youth volunteers over the age of 13 are welcome to volunteer with an adult for our pre-event set-up shifts. Please consider your child's ability to contribute to the projects and stay on task when signing up. Volunteers at the event must be 18+
Dress Code: Set-up volunteers should dress comfortably and casually. Close-toed shoes are required for safety. Event volunteers are asked to wear black pants, close-toed shoes, and will be provided a Center t-shirt to wear at the event. Registration volunteers are asked to dress in formal or wonderland-themed attire.
COVID-19: All volunteers and guests will be required to show proof of up-to-date vaccination against COVID-19. For all activities taking place at The Center's building on 4th Street, this includes a current booster, and masks will be required (and provided if needed).
