Hospice volunteers play a crucial role in the service that is provided to patients and families during the end of their life journey. Volunteers can help in many ways. Volunteers can work with the patients and assist in a variety of administrative roles. Companionship volunteers work directly with the patients and families. The time that is spent with the patients and families is invaluable. Volunteers are able to develop candid relationships with the family that allows the opportunity for the volunteer and patient to engage in life review and reflection.

Description
Just as every person is unique, so is every hospice patient. Our care plans are tailored to meet the needs of each patient and family. The Crescent Hospice team includes physicians, nurses, social workers, chaplains, hospice aides, and volunteers.
Hospice services include comprehensive medical care; pain and symptom management; grief/bereavement counseling, emotional and spiritual support; placement of medical equiptment and supplies; and assistance with dailiy living needs.
Hospice provides family-centered care that includes the patient and their loved ones in the decision making process. We have locations throughout South Carolina.
