Special Olympics Washington's 2018 Winter Games will take place from March 2-4 at multiple locations across Wenatchee and Leavenworth, WA.
This event is the state championships for our Winter Season and athletes will come from all over to compete in skiing, snowboarding, basketball, ice skating and cross country skiing. The weekend will also include special events such as an opening ceremony, dinner, victory dance, Olympic Town and more. We need over 600 volunteers to help make this a success.
You can volunteer as an individual or as a group. Volunteers 11-13 must have an adult chaperone and volunteers 14-17 need parent/guardian permission.

Description
Special Olympics Washington provides year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with mental retardation or a closely related developmental disability, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes, and the community.
