Volunteers can work directly with patients relieving caregivers, playing games, singing, crafts, errands, or listening. Volunteers can also work in the office doing clerical work, special projects, answering telephones, call patients.

Description
Hospice is compassionate care for individuals facing a life-limiting illness or injury with a terminal prognosis. Hospice and pallative care involves a multidisciplinary approach to pain management along with emotional and spiritual support. Care is specifically customized to meet the needs and wishes of the patient and their loved ones. The focus of hospice is not curing, but rather on comfort and care. Hospice is provided at the patients's home and is covered by Medicare and most other insurance plans.
