As a hospice volunteer you can make a difference in the lives of patients who are facing a life limiting illness. Your talents and compassion will give them the freedom to live ALL the days of their lives wit comfort, dignity and quality of life.
We are looking for caring people to support patients and families in the following ways:
Activities with patients: playing board games, cards, puzzles, companionship, veteran to veteran, crafts, support at time of death
Emotional support: respite, spiritual prayer calls, attending funerals, make weekly tuck in calls, bereavement visits and calls
Household activities: arranging donated flowers, light gardening delivering blankets, running errands, walking pets
Professional volunteers: Reiki/massage/alternative therapies, music therapy, art therapy, hairdresser/barber
Administrative support: attending local community health fairs, creating Chart-a-Life posters
