The South Central Chapter of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) serves the following counties: Broome, Tioga, Otego, Delaware, Schoharie and Chenango. The chapter is governed by a group of working volunteers that make up the Board of Directors. The chapter is trying to grow and is looking for people who may be interested in learning more about board membership. Board members are expected to attend events and programs as available as promote AFSP and it's programs in the community.

Description
The Capital Region NY Chapter of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention covers 15 counties in NYS providing suicide prevention, education, training and support programs. We hold fundraising events throughout the year that raise money to support research and provide all of our research-based programs free of charge to the community.
