Hospice Sanctuary has dementia patients located in the west valley in Goodyear and Avondale who would so benefit from some human interaction. Though they can no longer hold a conversation, they still benefit from one sided communication, either by being talked to or read to. The effects nurses have noted from patients being read to includes better vital sign reports, more smiling, or even bettered communication.

- Dignity Health Hospice is seeking positive thinking individuals of Integrity and Commitment to serve those with a Life Limiting Illness
- Volunteers give the gift of their time and themselves
- Hospice patients need volunteers to visit in their home, wherever that may be
- Volunteers read and write letters, visit with patients, participate in crafts, board games and cards
- Dignity Health Hospice serves all of the Maricopa County Community
