Wildfires are devastating communities across California, causing more than 300,000 people to evacuate their homes and threatening many more. The Camp Fire in Northern California -- one of three blazing across the state -- is the most destructive in state history. We want to ensure that, if you are in an affected community, you find access to shelter. And if you are looking to help with disaster relief efforts, you know the most effective ways to contribute.
Help us make the children feel safe. Become a family greeter for the Santa Rosa Kids' House! As a family greeter you will be responsible for directing visitors and answering phone calls to the appropriate team member in the House. If a visitor comes in for an interview or exam, alert the victim advocate. Other daily responsibilities will include: checking daily notes and checking in with the Administrative Assistant, Victim Advocate, and other team members within the Kids' House to see if interviews or therapy sessions are scheduled during your shift; making sure snacks are available and ensuring the waiting area is orderly and clean; checkup and clean the kitchen as necessary. A family greeter is to be in the reception area at all times. We can't wait to have you as a part of our organization and helping to keep the children in our community safe!
