Pick Up/Delivery Person for Weekend Food Packs

Families Forward Charlotte aims to ease the burden of poverty on children and their families in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina. We are providing essential goods, educational programs, a comprehensive list of resources and assistance in navigating existing resources. The organization’s goal is to establish long-term stability for the children and families we serve.

We coordinate, raise funds, collect donations, and provide volunteers to prepare food bags for children and families in food-insecure households. Each bag provides a child with food over weekends and holidays when they lack access to free breakfast and lunch at their school.

FFC looking for a consistent volunteer that would be able to pick up and drop off weekend food packs to one of our partner schools. This would be a 2 hour commitment every other week. Our coordinator would let you know when and where to pick up the bins (it changes each time as organizations pack at their site for us) and then you would take them to Hornets Nest Elementary (Northlake area) on Thursdays. This does require having a larger vehicle that can fit 6 tote storage bins.
