Interested in supporting refugee youth in Chicago? Come help Heartland staff assist refugee kids K-12 with their homework on Mondays 4pm-6pm in West Ridge. Our afterschool program aims to offer our participants a safe and welcoming place to work on challenging homework assignments, while also engaging in fun activities with volunteers and other participants! No experience or expertise in subject matter is required. Our participants are English language learners, so we are looking for patient and passionate individuals who want to make a difference in refugee youth lives through spending time with them working on basic homework assignments and other fun activities!
