In need of volunteers who can drive nurses, social workers and other professional staff to patient visits in the event of snow/ice. Our patients are in homes and nursing centers throughout the Alexandria region. Patients at Capital Caring are receiving Hospice and Palliative Services, these patients rely on our professional team for healthcare support 24/7 regardless of weather.
If you have a 4 wheel drive vehicle, feel comfortable driving in inclement weather and are willing to provide your services to transport staff to and from patient visits-please contact Katherine Knoble at 703-333-6958 or by email at kknoble@capitalcaring.org.
Requirements: Valid driver's license, valid car insurance, 4 wheel drive vehicle. Covid vaccination. We reimburse for your miles.

Capital Caring Health provides hospice, palliative and advanced illness care of the highest quality to patients of all ages, regardless of their ability to pay. We serve pediatrics to geriatrics. We have two in patient centers and serve most patients in the comfort of their home. Volunteers are key to the service we provide. We train our volunteers and support them along the way. They are part of our team.
