Sta-Home Hospice volunteers can do just about anything to support hospice patients and their families!
To help you become the best volunteer you can be, you will be professionally trained by a Volunteer Coordinator. We also offer training on weeknights or weekends to fit a variety of schedules.
Some examples of things our volunteers do to help are:
*Going shopping or running errands for the patient and family
*Helping prepare meals
*Making crafts and delivering to patients homes
*Assist with household chores
*Providing respite for caregivers
*Providing comfort through engaging in activities the patient enjoys such as gardening, playing games, reading a book, or simply listening
*Administrative tasks in the hospice office
