CSET NP FREE STRING MUSIC ED PROGRAM
ARTS AT THE AIRPORT PERFORMANCE 2014

L.A.S. Therapy Network and Development Group, Inc. is a non-profit organization located in Nashville, TN, Davidson County since 2001. Our organization has provided free services to the community at-large at a multitude of locations offering health, arts, advocacy, and outreach services. Many individuals have received sliding-scale fee, follow-up office services based on need[s]. Partnerships with public and/or private agencies, organizations, and/or individuals have enhanced public access and opportunities for under-represented, under-served families fairly and equitably. Office and event personnel, organizers, artists, and health care professionals for "Laughter is the Best Medicine" Health and Arts Program are invited to join our team to masterfully coordinate and implement the success of our 2018 events. Approximately 30 to 36 volunteers for the following areas of expertise are requested:

Office Team: Position for 2-4 individuals interested in sharing the position for approximately 4-6 hours per week. Telephone consults, filing, community outreach, and overall team support are only a few chores for this position. Are you ready to serve a the backbone for our successes?

Data Entry Team: Position for 2-4 individuals interested in sharing the position for approximately 8-10 hours per week. Events, financials, etc. daily, weekly, and/or monthly spreadsheets activities updates are required to track outcomes, needs, successes, etc.

Event Coordination Team: Position for 6-8 individuals interested in sharing the position for approximately 6-8 hours per week. Contacting venues, administrators, artists, healthcare professionals, agencies, organizations, partners, and others for scheduling, program clarity, etc. are an integral part of this position.

Bookkeeping/Accounting Team: Position for 2-3 individuals interested in sharing the position for approximately 2-4 hours per week. Manage income, expenditures, taxes, and other financials, as well as, coordinating with the Grant Support Team.

Grants Support Team: Position for 8-10 individuals interested in sharing the position for approximately 8-10 hours weekly. Identifying grant or other funding opportunities, monitoring submission guidelines & deadlines, submitting timely applications, managing rewards, and tracking new opportunities will definitely challenge these team members. Coordinating with the Bookkeeping/Accounting, Data Entry, and Office Teams are required.

Marketing Team: Position for 4-6 individuals interested in sharing the position for approximately 6-8 hours weekly. Creating and/or updating newsletters, event fliers, brochures, etc. for submission in the stream of commercial for public notice. Cooperative collaboration with Event Coordination, Social Media, etc. is an essential team work component.

Social Media Team: Position for 6-8 individuals interested in sharing the position for approximately 3-6 hours weekly. Updating and posting Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin, Blogger, Instagram, etc. social media sites with event information and images monthly. Collaboration with Marketing, Event Coordination, Data Entry, and Office Teams are required.

Our mission is to build better Tennessee communities by providing diverse cultural visual/performing arts, education, and quality speech-language-hearing services to under-served, under-represented, under-insured, and/or un-insured infants, children, youth, adults, and/or seniors without discrimination.

Description

PROGRAM SERVICES

Arts, health, education, community outreach, and advocacy are our program areas of concentrations.

Our program provides speech-hearing screenings, massage therapy, nutrition education, oral motor & voice activities, amplification accessibility, physical fitness activities, and more at events. Blood pressure screenings, dental care, and other health care services are offered at our program fair. All screenings are free during events and provided on a sliding scale * basis at office locations.

Local, regional, and national visual and performing artists provide music, dance, comedy/spoken word, magic, paintings, and sculpture, as well as, art education during community events. Artists who share their talents with those who might not otherwise have a chance to experience the arts, play an integral part in every event.

"Laughter is the Best Medicine" Health and Arts Program provides events at unique Middle Tennessee public and private venues and other surrounding areas during April [Minority Health and Autism Awareness Month], May [Better Hearing and Speech Month], September [Deaf Awareness Month], and December [Gala Holiday Season].

Our organization actively lobbies on the local through federal levels for health care and arts. Politicians, commissioners, agency representatives, educators, celebrities, and other community/policy leaders attend events and consider legislation to continue these needed services for the community at-large.
