Volunteers will have the opportunity to work with various programs that support ending hunger among seniors, helping to provide economic stability, and keeping seniors from feeling isolated. We cover San Gabriel Valley including Downey, Norwalk and Whittier. We are looking for volunteers who are 55 and older who want to get involved and help others!

The mission of RSVP is to improve lives, strengthen communities, and foster civil engagement through service and volunteering. RSVP is America's largest volunteer network for those age 55+.

Description

RSVP (Retired and Senior Volunteer Program) is a federally-based grant sponsored by AARP Foundation. Our goal is to help adults who are 55 and older find meaningful volunteer experiences helping other seniors in their community. We focus on hunger, economic independence and isolation. We provide volunteers with some mileage reimbursement, extra liability insurance and a lot of volunteer recognition
