Welcome to Winter, Please Share some Warmth with our Growers!
In the winter months our Growers do many of the same activities; it's just a lot colder! So we look for more indoor activities in the community and on the Farm.
If you have a few hours to spare during the weekdays, you can share your time and even your talents with our Growers and our staff. When you volunteer with our Growers you're not just helping them do their activities, you are making a connection and helping them learn that they are truly a part of their community and all the people in it. It is the relationships that matter to all of us, and our Growers love meeting new friends and showing them what they can do.
We need volunteers to go with our Growers to their community activities as they volunteer in the community with organizations like Meals on Wheels, Food Bank and even local nursing homes. You can also help them as they do their shopping, and even go to recreational activities like bowling, museums, and the library.
We also need volunteers to help our Growers with activities here on the Farm like cooking, making seasonal and agricultural crafts, wood working and even gardening in our heated greenhouse. You can also volunteer to help with the winter animal chores, and even some days play games and enjoy music.
You can make a big impact in the lives of our Growers with just a few hours of your time.
