Bethany Christian Services is a non-profit organization that brings families, and keeps them, together. Strengthening them is our top priority. Through extensive work with families in post-adoption services, we realized that offering a mentor program would be a great benefit to them.

Most of the children receiving post-adoption services have encountered some type of trauma or neglect. They, and their families we serve, are often in need of someone to provide extra care and support.

We seek volunteers who have a heart for serving kids. This mentoring program will allow caring adults in the community to invest in an adopted child’s life. These adopted families are located in Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery and Philadelphia counties. Each match is based on the mentor and youth’s individuality, location and preferences. We want to foster a positive relationship that enriches everyone involved.

Please consider the amount of time you have to volunteer for this opportunity, distance you are willing to travel, race and gender of the child you would like to mentor. Mentors will have a valid driver’s license, current auto insurance, transportation, Pennsylvania criminal and child abuse clearances. We will send personal and employer references to those you name. A packet containing our application, Statement of Faith, Discipline of Children Policy and Privacy Notice will be emailed to begin the application process.
