KEEN St. Louis is seeking a Development Intern for Spring 2018 to assist with nonprofit fundraising and event planning for our upcoming KEENFest gala. This is an exciting opportunity for someone interested in gaining experience in the non-profit world and in the field of fundraising/development and gain valuable experience working on a variety of projects. This individual would support the Development staff with projects such as: major fundraising event planning, prospecting new funding sources, donation request mailings, silent auction item procurement, event set-up, and assisting other projects as needed.

Skills and Competencies
  • Strong organization skills; the ability to multitask and maintain focus in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical problems and literary mistakes.
  • Basic computer skills (MS Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Submit to criminal background check
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
The Development Intern position is approximately 5 hours per week for the spring semester. The majority of time will be spent on projects completed on your own time, along with attending twice monthly planning meetings in the evening and the KEEN Fest gala on April 7th.
