The Paulding CAC seeks student volunteers or interns (High School and College) at least 18 years of age to provide assistance at the Center weekdays between 8:30 am and 5:00 pm. Volunteers/Interns must submit to and pass a background screening before having contact with children and families. Duties are...
Administrative duties may include:

  • Making Copies
  • Sending faxes
  • Running Errands
  • Answering telephones
  • Writing letters
  • Filing Charts
  • Relaying information to team and board members
  • Taking referrals, including entering case info into Collaborate (online database used by Georgia CACs)

Working with Families may include:

  • Greeting and assisting families
  • Supervising children in the waiting room
  • Observing caretaker and forensic interviews which could include taking notes for law enforcement (LE) and the case manager (DFCS)

Special Projects may include:

  • assisting with fundraisers
  • assisting in community outreach
  • researching articles, agencies, and/or, practices

Mission Statement

The Paulding CAC mission is to provide a safe place to interview children who may have been abused and to connect those children and their non-offending family members with needed services; to encourage the collaboration of agencies for the benefit of the child; and to at all times, lessen the trauma suffered by the child.

Description

The Paulding CAC provides services for children who may have been victims of abuse by providing forensic interviewing, crisis intervention, and therapy. Our agency collaborates with other community agencies, such as law enforcement and family and children services, to ensure that children are safe and connected with community resources. Our agency also provides prevention education as well as community outreach events.
