Allegheny Valley Hospital is seeking volunteers to join the chaplain service. This position offer significant opportunity to minister directly to patients and their families. Chaplain volunteers serve as chaplain of the week in a rotation with other area clergy every 6 to 8 weeks.
Those interested in becoming a volunteer chaplain must be sanctioned by a recognized denomination of having full rights and privileges of the designation of clergy that is documented by ordination, license, rostering, commission or certification as authorized by that denomination. Volunteer chaplains must provide documentation of clearance under Act 33/34 and Act 73.
