We are looking for volunteers to provide support to our Pet Pantry Program. Volunteers in this role should be 'Winter Warriors' prepared to take on cold weather to sort donated pet food and supplies. These items will be distributed through our Pet Pantry to members of the community in order to keep their pets happy and healthy.
This program is ONLY available on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:30 am - 12:00 pm and Saturdays from 10am - 12pm
Volunteers helping with this program should be able to lift 50 pounds ( dog food bags are heavy!) and at least 18 years old. You may be asked to help hand out straw for our Straw program, but your primary role will be handing out food.
Volunteers are asked to wear gloves, hats, thick boots, and anything else you may need to keep warm while outdoors - we will rotate inside and out for breaks, but the majority of your shift will be spent indoors, but the warehouse does get cold.
