ORGANIZATION: Alliance for Community Empowerment

Take part in activities that inform and unite a variety of stakeholders, including community residents, community organizations, as well as government officials and their corresponding agencies. Activities include, but are not limited to, partaking in awareness campaigns, developing community and partner relationships, and educating community members who are in need of our services.

The purpose of this position is to raise awareness about ACE and its programs, as well as increase the organization’s overall community profile, through the use of social media.

The volunteers activities will result in demonstrating:

  1. The impact of ACE’s programs on the lives of those we serve,
  2. Providing an inside look on the actions we take in addressing poverty related issues engaging potential participants to seek ACE for support
  3. Showing community residents that ACE is here to help.

Alliance for Community Empowerment's (ACE) mission is to strengthen under-served communities by assisting the individual through education, vocational training, leadership development and community engagement.

Description

Alliance for Community Empowerment, Inc. (ACE) was established as a 501(c)(3) organization in 2013 in response to community need. Since its inception, ACE has help disenfranchised, young people overcome barriers by addressing the core issues facing low-income communities. Through its RUTH YouthBuild and GRYD programs, ACE has helped youth rebuild their life and set the course for a better future by providing education, job readiness training, leadership/social development, counseling and supporting services by utilizing an engaging and holistic approach. ACE is grounded in the fundamental belief that young people, when given the right assistance, tools and role models, can transform their lives and their community.
