This is an opportunity for volunteers to help with putting together a 10 year anniversary program.
The program is for every youth, teacher and parent who supported Sankofa Youth Theatre for Creative Arts a division of ROOTS, Inc. over the past 10 years.
We will need help from:
Making up the souvenir journal
Developing a contact list
Updating social media
Fundraisers
Photography
Theme for event
Donations

To use the art of storytelling to promote literacy in order to reach the various types of learners in a multicultural society.
Description
ROOTS, Inc. was founded in 2008 as a 501 c3 non-profit organization. The organization programs and activities draw on the beliefs that 1) stories are powerful 2) stories spark creativity, and 3) it is important to teach children to be storytellers so they can appreciate and grow in their culture. ROOTS, Inc. uses the art of storytelling to connect people to the past, to give them a solid foundation on which they grow through the present and set their hopes for a better future.
