Love a good story? Enjoy a silly song? Like seeing kids discover the fun of books? Join us at Hillsboro Public Library as a weekly storytime assistant and help kids take the first steps to being lifelong readers!
Volunteer assistants are the hands and eyes and ears for our storytime librarians, helping with setup and teardown for each storytime, and greeting kids and families as they arrive. You'll be a welcoming presence to our storytime attendees, making sure things go smoothly while the librarian is busy reading the books and leading the songs and activities.
Weekday morning availability is a must--this winter we have several openings:
- Mondays, 8:30-11:30
- Tuesdays, 8:30-11:30
- Wednesdays, 9:30-12pm (January/February only)
