Special Event Volunteer

With 350+ residents and being a 24/7 operation, we are always receiving unique requests. It is not efficient to have volunteers at all hours of the day so we are looking to form a group of volunteers who are willing to be notified of any last minute events or requests.

Examples of requests might be:

Memorial Services- Dates and times fluctuate greatly. Volunteers are needed to escort residents to and from these programs, possibly helping pour punch, or turning the AV system on/off.

Movie Attendee- Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 1:30 pm and 7 pm we play a movie in our theater. About twice a month I receive a request for a volunteer to escort a resident (in their wheelchair) to the movie. Having someone with them to enjoy the movie would be a bonus.

Setup Helper- We have a lot of programs and events; and sometimes not a lot of time to 'flip' from one event to the next. Having an extra set of hands to stack chairs, move tables, etc. would be incredibly helpful.

Recycling Assistant- I have a recycling volunteer but on occasion he is unable to help on a given week. Having someone sort the cans/bottles would be extremely beneficial. Time is flexible.

Due to the last minute of these requests, I understand that many people will be unable to help. So, the more willing participants, the better!
