Are you a people person? If so, come and join our food pantry team!
The Harvey Kornblum Jewish Food Pantry (HKJFP), a program of Jewish Family & Children's Service, provides food, personal care items, and community resource referrals to help individuals and families through difficult times.
Shoppers are a CRITICAL part of our volunteer workforce at the Food Pantry. Shoppers assist our guests (6,500 individuals monthly) with item selection in our client choice food pantry.
A positive attitude, customer service focused people skills, and critical thinking are a plus for this volunteer position! This role at the pantry is on the move, requiring standing, walking, and minor lifting.
Most needed times are Fridays (9A-12P) or (12P-3P). Volunteers need to be 18 years old and typically commit to a 3 hour shift, once per week. We do not have weekend or evening hours.
Not only would you be helping feed families as a Shopper, you will be working with the best volunteers in STL. We welcome and value diversity! Share with your friends and come volunteer with us!
