Each evening we prepare food to deliver to approximately 100 homeless cats living in 16 plus places around Astoria. Canned and dry food preparation takes over and hour but can be much less time if we have volunteers. Volunteers are needed to go along the feeding route afterward to leave food and water at specific feeding places.
This volunteer opportunity can be any time in the afternoon as long as we know when you will arrive. Volunteers are welcome to send a text message or call on 917 244 8826 or the home phone of 718 685 2042. Come join our rescuers and see the kitties in our rescue home!

Pets for Vets NYC-Long Island, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that rescues and professionally trains shelter dogs to provide companionship and emotional support for military Veterans with PTSD. We are 100% volunteer-run, and we are always looking for volunteers and fosters to help in Brooklyn/NYC and on Long Island, NY.
