500 Oeste de Finca AnitaQuepos, CR

Kids Saving the Rainforest is a Wildlife Rescue & Sanctuary located in beautiful Quepos, Costa Rica on the Central Pacific Coast that rescues over 200 animals every year. We have an internship opening in our Veterinary Clinic beginning in late July/early August, and we really need a great intern to fill this slot ASAP!! (If you have later availability, let us know that, too!)

This internship is a wonderful opportunity that will help in preparing you for a career in veterinary medicine, and is also suitable for veterinarians who would like experience working with wildlife. You will assist our veterinary team in the clinic performing exams, treatments, surgeries, and various procedures. You will assist in the intake of injured and orphaned wildlife, provide routine daily cleaning and feeding for the animals currently residing in the clinic, and assist in necropsies to determine cause of death. Interns should expect a busy, highly variable environment with a high number of emergency cases coming in at a moment’s notice. You may also assist in our rehabilitation center working with animals in preparation of their release back into the wild.

Internship is 85 days, with the possibility of extending to 6 months following a review if there is an interest on the part of the intern.
