C.A.Y.A. IS IN THE NEED OF, two (2) volunteer Program Assistant for our After School Homework Center. Qualities we are looking for include; enjoy working with youth, have compassion and understanding of student situation/circumstances, proven success in working with youth, skills and tracking data (computer based), patience. Have good organizational skills and the ability to be firm and caring, as well as a good communicator and listener.

We are seeking at least two (2) Program Assistants for the Supervisor of our Academic program.

Monitor After School Program (12:00pm - 5:00 pm, Mon-Fri)

  • Assist Supervisor of the program with all duties
  • Monitor Student Attendance and sign In. This includes temperature checks for COVID-19 and consistent monitoring of making sure the students are wearing their masks properly and mindful of the CDC social distancing guidelines.
  • Assign Computer time/Lessons
  • Coordinate with Supervisor for all activities that need to be fulfilled.
  • Check with each student for any homework given to them by their school, this also means that the students have to search in their backpack for any incomplete homework assignments.
  • Assist with tutoring each student in helping them to complete their homework and academic lessons.
  • Coordinate with Supervisor Breaks for Students

1 Shift

  • afternoon / 12:00 PM to 05:00 PM
    This is subject to change as we partner with Seattle Public Schools.
