Ascend Hospice brinda a los pacientes, con una condición que limita la vida, la oportunidad de vivir una vida más plena con control, comodidad y dignidad. Nuestro equipo brinda una atención excepcional que incluye apoyo emocional y espiritual. Los voluntarios son el corazón del hospicio y un miembro vital de nuestro equipo de hospicio.
Actualmente estamos buscando voluntarios para brindar compañía y visitas de apoyo a nuestros pacientes y un respiro para sus seres queridos. Los voluntarios pueden ayudar haciendo visitas amistosas, leyendo a los pacientes, escribiendo cartas y mucho más. Una de las cosas más importantes que el voluntario puede ofrecer es simplemente estar allí para escuchar, compartir momentos tranquilos de contemplación u ofrecer un toque suave cuando sea necesario.
Se requiere capacitación para voluntarios de hospicio y se proporciona de forma gratuita. De acuerdo con los requisitos de Medicare, los antecedentes, el DMV y las autorizaciones médicas son parte del proceso de capacitación. Todos los voluntarios deben estar completamente vacunados contra el COVID-19.
