Provide emotional, social or educational support for those caring for individuals with dementia:

  • Initiate conversation among participants to share their challenges and success for caring for someone with dementia
  • Work with staff to arrange for speakers, as needed
  • Maintain a safe environment for participants where their thoughts and feelings are valued
  • Redirect conversations or behaviors as needed
  • Complete meeting summary
  • Promote Alzheimer's Association Services
There are two different groups needing facilitators:
  1. Mentor Afternoon 1, which meetings on the 2nd Thursday of the month, from 1 - 2:30 pm at the Mentor Senior Center
  2. Mentor Afternoon 2, which meets on the 4th Thursday of the month, from 1 - 2:30 pm at the Mentor Senior Center
