CAHOOTS ARE SEEKING VOLUNTEERS FOR OUR UPCOMING SUMMER CAMPS

Cahoots are seeking enthusiastic Camp Leaders, aged 18+, to assist children with intellectual disabilities at our school holiday camps. Can you help?

High Support - Landsdale Farm School - 08 th - 12 th January 2018

Activities on this camp include: Visiting Parks, Scitech, Aerial World, Aqualife, Whiteman Park Train ride, Bayswater Waves, Perth Zoo

Grads 18+ Camp - Woodman Point - 15 th-19 th January 2018

Activities on this camp include: archery, flying fox, climbing wall, surf lifesaving, bowling, cinema, pub meal, talent show

All Abilities Camp - Ern Halliday - 15 th-19 rd January 2018

Activities on this camp include: archery, challenging course, flying fox, climbing wall, low ropes, swimming pool games, mini golf, suitcase circus, cinema, talent show.

Cahoots Camps provide an opportunity for children to develop their social skills, make new friends, build self-confidence and try new activities in a supported environment. Camps also provide parents and families with an opportunity to recharge their batteries.

Leaders are allocated 1-3 participants, depending on the children’s support needs, and are required to care for these children for the duration of the camp. Their responsibilities include:

- Provide a high standard of care for the children at all times and where required:

- Assist and encourage participants to participate in games and activities

- Assist in the personal hygiene needs of the group

- Assist in the care of participant’s belongings

- Assist participants with meals

An online induction is required along with a signed volunteer agreement, Working with children check and police clearance.
