CAHOOTS ARE SEEKING VOLUNTEERS FOR OUR UPCOMING CAMPS

Cahoots are seeking enthusiastic Camp Leaders, aged 18+, to assist children with intellectual disabilities at our school holiday camps. Can you help?

Grads 18+ - Discovery Camp - 9 th - 11 th March 2018

Activities on this camp include: Self Discovery Camp, Goals in life, Job taste tester, cinema, minute to win it, challenge course, dress for success

All Abilities Performing Arts Camp - Landsdale - 9 th - 11 th March 2018

Activities on this camp include: Movie night, Dance Workshop, Suitcase Circus, Mask Making, African Drumming, Concert

High Support - Landsdale - 16 th - 18 th March

Activities on this camp include: Movies, Inflatable World, Bayswater Waves, Outback Splash, Picnic

All Abilities Camp - Keith Maine - 24 th - 25 th March

Activities on this camp include: TBA

Cahoots Camps provide an opportunity for children to develop their social skills, make new friends, build self-confidence and try new activities in a supported environment. Camps also provide parents and families with an opportunity to recharge their batteries.

Leaders are allocated 1-3 participants, depending on the children’s support needs, and are required to care for these children for the duration of the camp. Their responsibilities include:

- Provide a high standard of care for the children at all times and where required:

- Assist and encourage participants to participate in games and activities

- Assist in the personal hygiene needs of the group

- Assist in the care of participant’s belongings

- Assist participants with meals

ALSO SEEKING VOLUNTEERS FOR CAHOOTS SOCIAL REC & 18+ GRADS NIGHT

Cahoots Social Rec is a 4 hour program that runs north and south of the river, activities vary.

Cahoots Social club 18+ is on the first Wednesday night of every month, activities vary.

An online induction is required along with a signed volunteer agreement, Working with children check and police clearance.
