The community library space serves all ages, for a variety of purposes. The Afternoon Youth Supervisor would be present in the library from 2:30-4:30 PM on school days, to help the librarian monitor adolescent students who use our space after school. Responsibilities would include checking for identification at the door to make sure every person under the age of 18 who enters the library has their library card, monitoring adolescents and teens in the library to make sure they are following the library rules, and communicating with youth who break the rules or disrespect the space and others about their behavior. Afternoon youth supervisors are expected to volunteer for at least one after school shift per week, with opportunities to volunteer more frequently if interested.
