Responsibilities for the Fund Development intern may include (but are not limited to):
* Assist Development & Communications staff with promoting and supporting community outreach and organization events.
* Support the annual fundraiser, including requesting silent auction donation items, sponsorships, and other admin duties
* Assist with donation receipts, acknowledgements/thank you’s, and reporting,
* Maintain and update the Watercourse Facebook page, and other online & social media initiatives focused on growing presence, promoting engagement, and updating content.
* Assist in the production of press releases, promotional, and other marketing & communications materials.
* Assist with mailings to media, partners, donors, and other contacts.
* Other projects as agreed upon.

Our mission is to strengthen our community through responsive program development to increase emotional wellness. Our community clinics and school-based therapists provide counseling for individuals, families, and groups across the city of Minneapolis.
Description
Watercourse Counseling Center is a nonprofit organization, rooted in community, with a 16-year history of serving the emotional needs of people of all ages from diverse communities in Minneapolis.
To achieve our mission, We do this by working in partnership with individuals and organizations to solve community problems, by locating our services in accessible locations, such as community centers and schools, and by encouraging clients to participate in community life and activities. Our model of service is holistic, emphasizes clients' strengths, and nurtures their sense of responsibility to self and others.
Our services include:
Counseling at our neighborhood clinics in South and North Minneapolis, including: individual, couples, and family therapy.
School-based mental health and supportive services at nine schools throughout South and North Minneapolis. Services offered at our school-based clinics include: individual and family counseling, play therapy for children, parent support, skill-building groups, and consultation for teachers.
Community outreach services throughout Minneapolis, including: parenting groups, senior groups and summer gardening, mental health education and outreach, and professional and community training.
