Volunteer optometrists will be an integral part of Prevent Blindness Texas providing services in free clinics throughout the North Texas region. We need optometrists to volunteer their time (around 10 hours a week) to provide free eye exams to individuals that are in desperate need of eyeglasses. Many times, populations that will be served have had limited to no exposure to eye health and this will be their first steps towards improving their vision and even preventing eye diseases. Often, these populations are uninsured or underinsured. These eye exams will be crucial to connect individuals to our free eyeglasses program. Come join the PBT team in improving the eye health and eye sight of our community!
