Education volunteers, or Docents, assist with family tours and new school program while encouraging outdoor exploration and learning. Docents provide a welcome, hospitable environment, and rewarding learning experience through guided tours. They provide prompt, informed, and friendly attention to visitors, leading them through various stations throughout the Gardens.
No prior teaching experience required! Docents should have a strong desire to learn about the plant and insect world and to share their knowledge with others. Docents should also be comfortable with the outdoors and public speaking. They need to be punctual and reliable.
Spring programs and tours are starting soon. Apply today!
