Family Services has two programs that need volunteers to help with ESOL classes:
Family Discovery Center is looking for a volunteer tutor on Mondays through Thursdays from 1:15-3:15pm at 1010 Grandin Avenue in Rockville. Volunteers are asked to help at least once a week, and are welcome to help more.
The Ed Bohrer Parent Resource Center located at Gaithersburg Elementary School is looking for a volunteer to assist with its Tuesday evening classes at the following times:
6:30 - 7:15 PM: Beginner/pre-intermediate
7:30 - 8:15 PM: upper-intermediate/advancedVolunteers assisting in either program should have experience working with adult learners and preferably some ESOL teaching experience, or related volunteer/work experience.
